He got big by first covering Gen 9 OU when it was still hot, and then pivoting that into Gen 3 OU coverage which more or less properly extolled its virtues.
However his channel has been in decline now because he's run out of ideas and enthusiasm.
He still gets "insane" views for a competitive Poketuber on his main account, but they're far off from his heights.
He just has a relatively appealing style and talks about things he's managed to get people to care quite a bit about. His forays into lesser formats have not had the amount of success expected of a "industry plant".
