Reasonable estimations of power based on those game mechanics but applying real time warfare? The Pokemon would win.

You can whittle this down with Pokemon that can survive conditions, like snowstorms. You still would need some incredibly sturdy Pokemon to stall for time though, if this is what you want to do.
So, my answer is "we haven't even reached this state yet."
HOWEVER, if we allow competitive niches, and that you can somehow find Pokemon that survive long enough, you could arguably set up a Sturdy Shedinja in the fray. This can be achieved as early as Gen 3, given that
Shedinja <- Butterfree <- Golem is one potential route to achieve Sturdy Shedinja.
