Why does ground beef without anything taste so bland?

We’re carnivores, aren’t we supposed to be excited by meat? Instead you need to cover it with spices and sauces to make it edible.

ok, maybe 2 weeks was an exaggeration. 2 days then. my point is, your palette is desensitized from having access to so many varieties of food. appealing to your nature as a carnivore (which isn't true, you're an omnivore, but anyway) is kind of irrelevant because you're very far removed from your base natural instincts. a Paleolithic man would not have the same palette as a modern man.

also, ground beef tends to be made from the lower quality cuts of meat, that's why it doesn't taste as good as a nice steak. if you ground up a high quality cut of meat you would notice the difference. for example you can get ground chuck which is a lot more flavourful than regular ground beef. it's more expensive though.

Shut the fuck up. I can eat unseasoned ground beef hot or cold just fine. Obviously not for the rest of my life but if you handed me a bowl or cup with some recently cooked ground beef right now I'd say thanks bro.
