Admittedly I haven't played SwSh but SV has a completely different style for humans anyway so it doesn't count much.
It would've annoyed me if I was stuck with either long pants or a miniskirt.
It'd have been fine if both miniskirt and shorts were available, but it's not that big of a loss. The shorts look cute.
