Briar was an especially bad character. I literally don't understand her motives.
They should have played more off the AI professor, the machine, Heath, the glyph cave in AZ, or maybe even the Kalos connection which people speculate caused the crater.
A good story never gives away all the details. Sadly (or for the better), this one is over.
