Eventually but probably not for a while. Ideally there'd be a Pokemon Stadium Whatever that would just connect to Home and be Showdown. It'd still give you incentive to play the games for cosmetic things like shininess and ribbons, but the actual battling stats would just require you to own the Pokemon.

The whole 510, max 252, 4/8 increment system was designed to be hidden and is way too confusing for the average player, they'll never be fully transparent with it until they revamp the stat formula.

It's not that it's overly complex, it's that a new player has no way to know how anything works without looking it up. And mathematical quirks like Lv50 stats only being affected by 4 + 8n are unnecessary and never going to be explained by the game.

Hopefully soon, it makes perfect sense for an official simulator at this point. It's not like they care about IV/EV/Nature anymore in terms of flavor, seeing how the new games let you manipulate them easily enough.

It costs $500,000 to do this for each pokemon
that's 3 million for a full team
I don't think I've ever had that much money at once in a pokemon game
Vitamins would need to be a tenth of the price to be viable

ScatVomit made absolutely fucking massive QoL improvements to training Pokemon (and the games do not get the credit they deserve for it) but even then the costs of bottlecaps, mints, vitamins, capsules, etc. should be reduced by 75% at bare minimum.

I learned more about the EV system from Showdown because they make it incredibly easy to customize your stats.
It’s a lot more complicated in game because you need to do specific stuff to increase your EVs.

I think they never even meant them to be discovered. They really wanted players to show up to tournaments with randomly caught Pokemon and the winner would just be someone who was lucky enough to get the strongest pokemon with good ivs

I'm pretty sure Pokemon designs, pokedex descriptions and game data are handled by different people/teams.
I wouldn't even be surprised if the game design team only got vague descriptions of the Pokemon they make stats and moves for to prevent leaks, leading to shit like
