>>56435044I mean, yeah. In theory, Scarlet and Violet has made a total revenue of approximately 1,495,200,000,000 USD(1.495 trillion~). However, 22 dollars would be taken by every cartridge, so we're looking at a revenue of about 946,960,000,000(946.96 billion~). And that still doesn't include the logistics cost, which could bring the profit down as thin as 20 dollars a cart(thereby making the profit 498.4 billion.) This is still a lot of money, but there's some considerations at play, too, like the fact that cartridges are manufactured in batches of a million, and prices of those games fluctuating between countries...
Now, unfortunately, I can't take this to the logical conclusion of comparing TCPi's operating budget to this, but uh... Nintendo owns 33% of Pokemon, and their operating profits are about 10~ million USD a year, and they are SIGNIFIGANTLY better at managing money than Gamefreak and Creatures ever were, so yes. Something seems very wrong here. Literal billions, if my very rough calculations are REMOTELY correct, are left unaccounted for.
