Been playing Pokemon Stadium on my YouTube channel; having so much more fun with it than SwoShit.

How does anyone defend Sword and Shit? It's actually the worst game ever and I have played through Nicktoons Attack of the Toybots more than once.

This game alone has actually made me wish I didn't exist at times.

I played both gen 1 and gen 2 at least twice to completion back in the day, briefly tried gen 3 but didn't like it, played a bit of gen 5 and then didn't play Pokemon in ages. Recently got back into it with Violet and I've been having more fun than I've ever had with gen 1, 2 or 5. I really don't get the hate. I can totally imagine someone preferring the more linear earlier style (I do love open world games), but the way people talk about it makes it sound as if it's genuinely terrible, which it clearly isn't.

It's a genuinely good game.

Ah yes, my favorite part of every pokemon game... spending hours uptrading all the pokemon that you can't catch in game, but can tediously menu to get (with the purchase of an additional game of course), but only after you've completed all content and there's nothing to do with them anymore.
Regional dex is the only dex that matters.

Pokemon Bank was pretty fast and when Pokémon XY were new you get anything you want from GTS pretty easily. Are you seriously telling me you fished for Dhelmise instead of just getting one someone else hatched?

dropped the series after SM which I didn't like, and I was upset about dexit too.
I eventually cooled down and tried PLA on a whim, which surprisingly I really enjoyed and ended up completing the dex.
so I thought, hey, maybe I'm being unfair to the new games, and I'll give SWSH a go.
I think I made it 1 or 2 hours in. I got to the wild area, saved and quit for the day, and never opened it again. I just can't find the motivation. it's a shame cause I do like some of the dex and wanted to try the new mons. but I just wasn't engaged at all. PLA hooked me in the first hour, SWSH I can't even bring myself to turn back on.
maybe I'll give SV a spin but I doubt it at this point.

I haven't due to how negatively received it seems to be. But then again, people also complained about SV and I absolutely loved it. On the other hand, SwSh fans seem to be pushing "it's not like SV" as main argument for why it's supposed to be good...

The DLC (if you ignore the base game exists) is the best pokemon game on Switch. If I were to ever replay SwSh for some crazy reason, I'd only play the DLC.

1: there is no way you are having fun with pokemon stadium. I remember trading some games for that one twenty something years ago and was disgusted that it was just a couple of hours worth of battles and absolutely nothing else.

2: I wish I was paid to defend it. I had more fun with it than any game from gen 3-7. I also enjoyed SV.
