GameFreak's problem is lack of staff not time.

With +200 employees they could release a game per year easily.

You think they'd learn after SwSh turned out to be shit despite common sense predicting it would (jump to new hardware, literally looked like HD Sun/Moon, focus on gimmicks and memes in trailers, hiding route design) and then BDSP (first trailer is all I need to say) and then SV (awful performance, bad character designs, focus on open world in marketing over anything else). Let them make the same mistake again lol. Can't wait till they then gaslight everyone into thinking they never pretended it'd be any better

LA released in January, while LA is probably releasing mid-year at the earliest, so the gap is more than 3 years. Spinoffs/extra games also never had a full 3 year dev time.

Besides, they're taking an extra year for gen 10, that's what people really care about.

Gamefreak knows Nintendo wants their head after the terrible performance of SV.

The anime has yet to tell the whole SV story, and it's own story. The TCG is fine and will release TCG Pocket late this year.

There's no pressure to make a new game or region yet.

They don't have a 3 year anime loop.

No apologist, but there's definitely something more going on. If they're just doing the same 3 year dev cycle, what are the other teams working on? Usually there'd be concurrent projects to get a yearly release (or add-on to existing via DLC). Nothing else on the horizon we know of. Something must be kept quiet at the moment, but what it is and if its a good or bad thing is just not know.

It's not being an "apologist" to say that something changed. Again, Nintendo has a standard for their first and second party games (which mainline Pokémon is one)

GF just shown a "still in development" from a game based in the canned "Kalos Reserve 3/4" of 2015.

And for what official accounts mentioned, this is their "most ambitious title yet."

I assume all teams are working on this game.
(Besides Gear Project people)

Being set on a city makes me believe it would have some PVP features.
Why else bringing Megas back? And specially making it part of the first teaser.

I don't know about the "all teams" part. Gen 10 will be coming out in 2026 no matter what (30th anniversary, they literally cancelled the original Z because the 20th anniversary) so Gamefreak definitely has at least two teams working in different projects like PLA and SV.

If anything, Gen 10 took 2 years pre-production, specifically because it had a 4 year gap between SV and its launch, but that doesn't mean they're going to use that extra year for an extra year of polish. As much as faggots want to ignore, the core of the game works and the target demographic don't care about "issues" (bet most of them hadn't even gotten their game copies by the time the first patch went live, due to being likely kept as christmas presents anyway).
There's no reality where an adult steps in and takes Pokémon off Game Freak to make it for you kid. Learn to accept that.
