I'd raher see pokemon get evolutions or split evo, then get a convergent.
Convergent could actually be a nerf to most of these pokemon because it would butcher their movepool without giving anything back in terms of stats.

I still think the Nidoran lines are ripe for either Mega Evolutions or regional forms.
An Arbok evolution would be pretty cool, too.
And I've seen some pretty cool concepts for a regional Doduo line.

Ledian, Lanturn, Sunflora, Octillery, Magcargo, and even Skarmory I think could all evolve.
Of those, Lanturn, Octillery, and Magcargo I think Megas could work for them as well.

Mightyena needs an evolution.
Slaking, Flygon, and Walrein are prime candidates for Megas.
Tropius and Torkoal could benefit from some love, too.
