Will poke-spinoff quality ever reclaim its former glory? Or will we continue to stay on the caliber of Mastersex, GO, Unite (least bad of these, still meh), and Smash characters? Does me asking this count as genwarring according to vermin on here?

Nope. It's not profitable anymore to deliver as good an experience as possible.Now that they have years of loyal consumers and brand recognition, it makes more financial sense for them to split features from the main games and sell them separately (pokemon storage, wifi capability, postgame, half the dex)
