He would be a quirky protagonist with a good personality during the first seasons, then the later seasons would slowly flanderize him into being a heroic moralfag and the anime is hated anyways because gamefreak isnt known for sticking with good decisions

The last battle Gary had with that loser from Pallet town was right before DP and that was clearly his win. Not to mention making that fuck realize he screamed Muh Pokémon master for years without knowing what it actually mean in the very last episode.
