When pokémon like Charizard, Gengar, Pikachu, Snorlax and Eevee exist and shit like pikachu's evo, a purple rat, a maneki-neko reference and a literal pokéball mimic get re-designs, there's a clear and obvious bias towards re-designing less well recieved designs (else why even re-tool them, shit why bother touching them if popular stuff got them, just re-tool 'Zard, Gengar, Pikachu, Snorlax, Eevee and others like Lucaario and Greninja endlessly. Because they're already popular and sell merch out the arse as a result).
