Blaziken was fine, great even. But the next two, at the very least the directly next one, needed to be different.
It's not even like the design necessitated them to be Fighting types. Infernape and Emboar could easily plausibly have been pure Fire types and no one would have batted an eye. Hell, Emboar might have been even more suited to being Fire/Dark. Why go to the same well 3 times in a row?
