>>56476128>khuckhas not been correct about one iota of what they're planning next, as his source got eliminated (he started getting ID info wrong as well as having no actual clue as to what was going to be revealed, hedging his bets it was either Gen 2 or Gen 5 due to fan speculation) and given the last gap year they took, another IP stole a slice of the kid interest pie, it makes perfect sense to reveal a game intended for November 2025 in 2024, to inform potential consumers that they are in fact not abandoning the series, nor ceasing their development cycles, but instead planned to skip needing to release a game this year by assuring the public there's absolutely one launching next year.
Shit, this isn't even the first time they confirmed "next year's game" existed and was planned to launch "next year" as at the LGPE reveal, they ALSO revealed they were working on a new core game title for Switch due to launch in 2019. The only difference between then and now is baba doesn't have the hype of a november release this year to distract him from news about next year's november release.
