Neither did I. I had no clue everyone used it. I only ever used a bird on my team in XY, and that's because Talonflame actually looks cool.

it's strong and available early, plus edgy design that appeals to kids. I liked it as a kid, but not really a fan of the design anymore.
my ride with Unfezant was completely reverse, thought it was boring at first but now I really like it. too bad Unfezant sucks in battle though. so weird considering it came between Staraptor and Talonflame who are both very strong.

This mother clucker is always on my team when I play Platinum, and one of the mains I use a lot in SV. Best early bird in the franchise.
