>>56499363That's honestly my only complaint against XD. It improved or fixed a ton of gameplay stuff and has better graphics but it just doesn't feel like a better game when the presentation is so much weaker.
>removing the UnderGot rid of two colosseums and the most unique town in ANY pokemon game. I understand disk space was limited and they added a lot of areas, plus from a worldbuilding standpoint it makes sense the criminal town would be sealed off if the region's getting cleaned up. But man... why?
>starting with eeveeGreat for having more options, but the lower levels and single battles make the early game feel so much slower and more handholdy.
>all the silly funnyman charactersIndividually I like them, they've got personality, but it really feels like you can't take anyone seriously when EVERYONE is le random quirky kid. Cipher's got the rainbow brigade who can't count, miss teen vogue valley girl, tard rage ape man, and the most ambitious man to wear pajamas in public. Then you have the mad scientist who just makes everyday things useless, his useless yesman assistant, and Duking has become a traveling salesman and ignores his responsibilities in Pyrite town. Colosseum had some weirdos played for laughs but it was basically just the useless police officer and Miror b. with everyone else acting reasonably normal for their role, letting them stand out organically.
>all the cool tech is goneThe bike became a lame scooter, since you don't even get to drive the cool factor was all that the transition cutscenes had. The pda is blander. The snag machine is just a generic mechanical arm brace now. Robo groudon is just a trainer model, you don't get to use it or fight against the machine itself. Robo kyogre as a boat is cool at least.
