Pokémon games will always sell well regardless of quality. Not because of adults who play the games but because of children and parents.
So don't give me this shit about games not being bad because it sold well, of course it sold well, it's a fucking Pokémon game. Children will probably always love Pokémon and their parents will always buy it for them.
