I enjoyed the campaigns, thought it was interesting and different, most of memories of gen5 are wifi battles, GTS trading, breeding, shiny hunting, dreamworld stuff, i remember doing the dream radar, shiny beast event, victini. It was a fun time I'll quite of fond of my gen5 memories.
Spinoffs and side games fell off a cliff here as well as the anime, so in part it felt like the franchise weakened here. I never cared about or attached to a new batch of pokemon again, even if I enjoyed some later titles and like some designs, the magic truly ended here for me.
