Because if you'd paid any attention to their releases, you'd know they favour the pairs over the remakes (FRLG titled after the Japanese titles worldwide, HGSS using GS's encounter and trainer tables, ORAS not including the rehash pvp trainer, BDSP being "faithful" to the DS originals). When they remake a pair and not the rehash, it shows they have more pride in the pair than the rehash. hey proved if they release a good single-title game people will buy it but most don't care for "the last game we released but changed slightly". And had you been aware of Nintendo news, you'd have learned they attributed their increased digital-only revenue for the period of SS's DLC release directly to Pokémon finally sloughing off the old mentality of "make a rehash to release a game" and moving to "let's put all that creative effort into expanding the base game instead of just changing it around slightly".
