The next 7 Star Tera Raid Battle event has been announced for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This event will feature a battle against a Infernape with the Rock Tera Type and the Mightiest Mark. It can only be caught once per save file.
This event will run from 00:00 UTC on October 4th through 23:59 UTC on October 6th and again from October 11th through October 13th with Blissey joining it for the second run

Because I haven't caught an Infernape yet and I can easily obtain stuff for VGC teambuilding like ability patches, tera shards, etc.

Yes but I haven't upgraded the BBA biomes yet. I've been putting all those points into upgrading and making materials with that pokeball machine.

The shiny box legends event for SS gave out game-exclusive codes (redeeming one on sword gave you Zamazenta, the other on shield gave you Zacian) and the Gen 7 shiny box legend event used the game to determine what event 'mon given out (S/US got Lunala, M/UM got Solgaleo).

Not really, they've kept it at a fairly regular rate and only really deviated from starters for holidays and special events. Its just given 9 gens means 27 starters, each given 2 weekends is 54 weeks dedicated to starters. Then we have special shit like the Pikachu and Eevee events that happen each year forcing this to really feel dragged out. Add in the occasional special holiday themed event or something and its not surprising its taking them 3 years now to finally start wrapping up the starter pokemon raids.

The Paldea starters can only be in regular pokeballs right now so in some ways they are the least redundant. And you might as well complete the mightiest mark set for those who have been collecting them.
