A simple game on the surface with a gameplay loop that's both easy to engage in and complex enough to keep the synapses flickering in the aul' cabbage. One that has attractive, distinct designs that entice both adults and children to want to use them, to want to train them and pretend they're actually in the game playing with them. Something that catches fire and grows demand for the other aspects of a franchise - kids demanding merch of their favourites, retail sales pushing to the point of warranting a 2nd game, thus anime to keep promoting the thing until that's ready, a card game, to afford a different way to use the things.
