>>56513234I'm not happy with the state of Pokemon games on the Switch. Fyi this is going to become a bit of a blogpost so don't say I didn't warn you!
I really disliked SwSh, to the point it's my most hated Pokemon game. There are some elements I like about it, but then again I tend to be quite a positive person who can find bright spots even in things I dislike. For example I like some of the designs in SwSh. A few tracks in the OST. But that's about it. But I won't ramble on about what I hated because it's been done to death and I'm sure you can guess what I disliked anyway.
BDSP I hate, mainly because of how ugly it looks and the fucked movement. The removal of the grid was utterly dumb and makes the game unplayable for me. Sad because the Sinnoh games are among my favorites due to the focus on exploration but it's not a big deal desu, I dont care anymore.
I loved PLA. It was really fun. Probably the only Pokemon game I can say I truly loved since BW2. There's not much I disliked about it other than that ugly Galarian Weezing built into the design of the Galaxy HQ lol. But I had a lot of fun. It's the game that drew me back in after I'd began to check out of Pokemon. I stopped checking news as often, I didn't get the SwSh DLC, I didn't even really think about Pokemon that often. This is kinda rare for me because I've loved the series for a looong time. But PLA made me think about the game all the time when I wasn't playing and it really did capture my imagination. I was starting to think maybe I was the one who changed, and maybe I just didn't enjoy the games anymore, but yet here I was loving this new game. So it helped me realize it wasn't me, it was the games.
