I appreciate it doing something different with the Island Trials and the Professor being the Champion.
Actually had a pretty decent story with some good characters.
Problems are that the plot overtakes so much of the game. Cutscene after cutscene, way too much handholding.
And despite the good characters, there's equally bad ones. I'm really not a fan of Hau.
Similarly, for all the great designs, there's plenty of bad ones too. Ultra Beasts were a mistake.
Overall, it's somewhere in the middle of the pack for me.
For everything it does good, there's something else that it does really badly.
