From retarded creatures who only exist to hide away, be captured then never acknowledged again, and completely shallow personality outside of npcs going "this thing is very strong!!", to sapient creatures you get to bond with and care about in a deeper level throughout the game.

The latter is only hated because koraidon isnt a 100% shallow stereotypically menace who isnt allowed to be silly

I prefer Koraidon, but Game Freak may be soon out of ideas even in terms of friendly legendaries. Solgaleo/Lunala and Koraidon/Miraidon have very similar roles.

The wolves are protectors like Rayquaza, and Zygarde I guess.

I'd rather see more complex backstories, but those are the ones that don't get explored. We don't know where Koraidon or Miraidon are from, to the point where it was more elegant to consider them as figments of the professors' imagination.
