>>56528790Walking Wake is definitely the best one. The design's inspiration is obvious but it feels like a completely different monster. Scream Tail, Flutter Mane, and Iron Moth aren't really that different from their base, but they are good looking designs. Slither Wing is awesome, not quite Walking Wake levels of distinct but it's charm as a fuzzy leaping bug monster manages to feel very different from Volcarona. Sandy Shocks is just funny. It definitely doesn't come across quite as funny from just the art though, you need the animations. Raging Bolt gets points for come way out of left field with the design, absolutely one of the strangest monsters in Pokemon.
I think the others are varying levels of weak. Iron Treads tries something different with the face, and I think it fails. Just not aesthetically pleasing. The scribble mouth on Great Tusk does no favors for it unlike Walking Wake. Brute Bonnet doesn't even manage a particularly wild or prehistoric vibe. Iron Bundle is nearly there, particularly with its animations, I am just not a fan of the "X but robot" philosophy for the future paradoxes so if they aren't mentioned here you can assume that's my opinion. Roaring Moon has some of the worst official art of any Pokemon, a huge indicator that the art is now traced from the models. For that I must condemn it.
