They made it blatantly obvious that the Galar fossilmons are abominations that didn't exist in the past. What they should have done is put together two mons in a way that seems plausible and looks cool, but turns out to be wrong. Because that's what really happened IRL. Imagine something badass like Kabutops, but then you find out in the lore that the scythes belonged on a different pokemon. That's cool stuff because you get multiple cool mons out of it, rather than several retarded ones and fan art of what could have looked cool.
