The tides shifted significantly, I swear the only positivity I saw was about individual pokemon or the budding coomer threads for new characters, everything else was shill, bootlicker, and that clown pepe on the bike collage.
I don't really engage with the community outside of this board and maybe 3 irl friends. In part due to how much toxic positivity and how little critical thinking is done by the denizens of places like Bulbagarden, Serebii or Pokebeach, but also because I got banned from some forums for bring a dick to people who I didn't know were allowed to be dicks to everyone else. I've never used social media in any meaningful capacity let alone regarding Pokémon, but I feel like I'm no worse off for not dipping my toes in that piss pool.
