Hardly anyone remembers her time in Alola and she was overshadowed by Lillie. There was even more talk about Anabel than Cynthia.

Cynthia pops up out of nowhere in that villa at Undella Town with her piano solo for the greatest jump scare in the series.
The Battle Tree has all sorts of cameos people don't talk about because the playerbase never played it

Red and Blue are in BW2 but virtually no one talks about them in the context of those games because they’re in the PWT only.

Blue is a Lodge character in PokeMas with more alts than Red so really it's Redfags clinging to his status as "highest level trainer" with his Team of shitmons in Johto while Blue coasts on being the OG better than you rival

Meanwhile Red and Cynthia only get the most premimum alts in Masters (so premium that they dont even have any seasonal alt, which are the worst and weakest limiteds there)

Red and Blue also got their own special trailer pre-release that was built up to be a big deal surprise at the time and used to market the game
Everybody was specifically instructed to care about them.
Anabel got attention because of wormhole business and people making videos on timeline theories and shit, same reason people cared in ORAS
