>>56535896>This has literally always happened.Ok, and? Doesn't make it any less worse. Maybe I'm picking up on it more now that I'm older and the internet helps information move faster, but regardless that observation doesn't really change anything
>Do you have any idea about tabloid culture? This shit has been happening for longer than your lifespan.See above. Regardless, it's 100% intensifying over time as people desensitize to the tabloid tactics of yesteryear. You need something spicier and more salacious each time.
>Because, unlike massive names like P Diddy, you can actually make progress towards kicking out pedos in your own smaller community. It's not a witch hunt, they're literally in the very community these people run.You misunderstood me. I agree that people would be better off if they focus on excluding real predators in their actual vicinity first, and then in the communities that they frequent, whether that's in person and then also online (assuming they have direct contact with these hypothetical predators). But I think you're giving waaaay too much good will to a lot of the people who just pile on and make memes out of real suffering. No one really cares about the victims like 95% of time, let's be real. They care more about the drama. Very rarely do people think about what the victim actually experiences. And I know you'll just respond to me and tell me what I'm saying is wrong and that I'm naive and bla bla bla. But I reckon most people would identify and relate to what I wrote. I just think a lot of people especially nowadays in the social media era are not well intentioned and they don't view others as people, but opportunities. What those opportunities are vary. And to clarify none of this is new, but you're wrong if you don't think it hasn't intensified over the past 30 years.
