This is a shitpost thread but both player characters are wearing short kimonos, dumbass. Specifically, I'm pretty sure they're meant to be based on hanten, or short padded winter kimono style jackets, or tanzen, which are similar, as they both feature a padded collar. The ones you can buy from the store are all similarly short, and you can buy several types of hakama. In real life kimono are always tucked into hakama (as you can see on some of the villagers) but whatever.
You couldn't be running around in a full length kimono without the use of hakama because they're as restrictive as a pencil skirt.
