>>56538834I liked the sports theme. I mean, I didn't play the games, but as an outsider looking in, it makes sense. Soccer is apparently the 'world's sport'. Only America was like, "-Nah. Sphere? Already got enough of them sports. Ellipsoid? Holy sweet Jesus and Mother Mary, have we got ourselves a SPORT!"
Also Trainer Cards being sports cards is a fun concept. It would have been neat to collect cards from Leaders of other regions, or Elite 4 members from other regions. Have like... Agatha, but as a brown, old, Topps card from the 50s, with a bent corner and wear on the edges.
They could have done a lot of neat things. I like Kaiju battles as a theme. Really odd that Tyranitar didn't get one, since I seem it as the 'Godzilla' pokemon.
But again, I didn't play SwSh. Whatever you people suffered through, I just got to look at the cool artwork and concepts and imagine a better game.
