>>56546728In general, fish Pokemon are not as many as you might imagine, surprisingly enough. Even amongst Water types, the most common type, there's a decent amount of fish but there's also lots of assorted invertebrates and freshwater vertebrates that are not fish.
Seriously. Pick any gen you want, look at all its Water types and compare how many fish Pokemon there are in contrast to the rest of them.
(And yes there's the occassional non-Water type fish Pokemon but the bulk of them are Water type so it's easier to compare)
