It might be the most buffed Pokemon ever. That's why it's one of only 3 remaining Gen 1 Pokemon still seen in OU alongside Zapdos and Clefable. Alakazam, Tauros, Chansey, Snorlax, Gengar, Gyarados, Starmie, Venusaur, Exeggutor, Kangaskhan, Lapras, Jynx, and even Mew have all fallen off.

Dragonite is literally the best pseudo in the game now due all privileges and buffs it built up due to almost 30 years of inherent privileged it gets from being a GenWun mon. The only reason it doesn't get anything flashy is soley because any so any special snowflake super saiyan form it could get would end up stepping on CHARIZARD's toes. Its also eternally immune to Dexit since any KANTOOOOOOO game will erase every other Psuedo.

Had a z-move in USUM (on top of the move pool upgrade and getting Close Combat) which then got turned into a level up move in gen 8. Said move is also affected by Throat Spray so instead of +1 to Special Attack from the omniboost it's +2. Kommo-o as a Fighting type Pokémon also has Aura Sphere so it doesn't have to rely on Focus Blast not missing if used as a special (or mixed) attacker.

Yeah, but it was nice while it lasted in Gen 8. In Gen 9 it doesn't even need DWB since it has Tera ESpeed. It would certainly be nice to have, but Dragonite has more than enough moves to make up for it.

I wish my boy Garchomp got even half as many buffs as Dragonite. All it's gotten since Gen 4 is Stealth Rocks in B2/W2 and Spikes in Gen 9. Fairy type being added hurt Garchomp more than it got buffed from getting hazards
