>>56556185I’ve always been a dex completionist so a game built entirely around catching thousands of the fuckers in specific ways, under specific conditions, and even searching for smaller or larger specimens tickles my brain. Enjoyed seeing Pokemon in a more natural setting just living almost like Pokemon Snap. Never really got into online battles so the lack of online features wasn’t a huge loss for me. I really enjoyed hunting for the alpha Pokemon and then getting to use them myself. No abilities was a bit of a letdown but the weak and strong styles was cool enough to make up for it. The story was just okay but does anyone actually play Pokemon for the main story?
The game really just managed to sell that same feeling of adventure and being in a strange place the original games gave me. I don’t think open world is really the direction mainline Pokemon games should go, but for Legends I thought it worked very well.
