The open world is cool but I also feel like I'm just going from objective point to objective point and grinding levels on the way. Maybe I'm just outgrowing the series but it's just not as engaging as I thought it would be. I feel like even the SwSh DLC areas were more fun to go through, and definitely PLA.
Most of the new designs don't really appeal to me though, too many 2 stage lines that should've been 3 stages.
The game throws so many mons at you it kind of becomes exhausting. I had a decent team of 6 within a couple hours, so exploration is kind of less satisfying when the environments are boring & the only rewards are more Pokemon or items, finding the new Pokémon is fun though. I imagine it gets more fun when I can fly and shit.
My biggest problem so far aside from the performance is that half the Pokemon are the size of ants, so I keep accidentally running into them since I play handheld, also the towns feel pointless.
