Aside from all the big lore, all the pseudo legendaries originally had lore too.
Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross were the guardians of the sky, earth, sea.
Later they became Salamence, unknown ground pseudo (probably Flygon draft), and Metagross (Atlantis trio with Latinos and Latias).
Regigigas lore (one of or many giants who were born from Arceus’ shell), where he fought, lost, got revived. The other giants were probably Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre.
Probably makes sense because all four have black stripes on them where Arceus revived them with his blood.
