Hell Human's completely forgot Pokémon came from eggs. You'd think if Humans and Pokémon could reproduce the knowledge of eggs would have been known. It's kinda like how Crocodiles and Alligators can't breed. Their ancient ancestors could but then eventually became to genetically distinct.
