i dont play pokemon anymore but once in a while i get an itch to play rom hacks since i only played up to 5th gen and i came here yesterday with the intention of asking what are some new ones that vp can recommend so imagine my shock and surprise when i open this board for the 1st time in who knows when and get bombarded with pokephilia...

The intended direction of the franchise is what was officially published, not ideas that got scrapped and never made it to release. I don't know why people treat cut content as gospel when it was cut for a reason.

Stuff that happens in the concept phase is not canon, nor is it indicative of what they intend the final product to be like. They're just throwing ideas around and seeing what they want to keep. There is early concept art of Zelda BotW having a sci-fi setting, that didn't mean that Nintendo intended for the game to be a sci-fi game.
