I'd love to say I don't "get" why people are sperging out over literal mythology and non-canon stories in Pokemon like this. Even if it was canon, nothing makes it into the games which are still entirely child friendly even before being toned down by the American localizer side of things. But I do "get" it. Gen Alpha and zoomers will take anything and just blow it up to the extreme for twitter likes and reactions, not realizing that it does actually have a ripple effect.
Surely the negative American reactions to this won't have any negative impact on future pokemon products at all, right?
