Because Masters is retarded and decided to make every single female protagonist the exact same height. 11 year old Selene, 14 year old Hilda and 17 year old Serena are all the same height despite it making no sense at all.

But it does make sense: they're the same height because they're all edited from the same base 3d model. A huge amount of early Masters characters are edits of the same "dummy"

XY models are just made taller in general they aren't canonical heights just reflective of the games own style. it isn't specifically a Masters thing either characters were already shortened for the gen 7 games

For some reason in Masters they decided every MC had to be about the same height. Serena in XY is almost adult size and she was shrunk anyway Conversely they made Elaine taller despite her design is much more childish
