>>56616173It's big, fairly solid, has an aggressive look to it, and has a high degree of recognizability just from being a Starter, but since the only time it was a major character was a spin-off it completely side-steps the Mexican Goku effect which isn't common with Pokemon specifically but is still convenient, plus as a badger thing it's slightly more accessible to furries and low skill artists because unlike say, Charizard, it shouldn't have too weird of a dick to try and describe/draw and it's bodyplan means you can go as feral or human-like as you want without going off model with how it's depicted moving and it'll look organic.
And again, big, looks mean, kind of angry and aggressive, but also fairly simple in design [VS say Arcanine, who otherwise fits this bill], fairly iconic, most scenes depicting it are it flipping the fuck out, and it's a starter.
"Typhlosion gets angry and rapes the shit out of its 10 year old trainer" is a really easy premise to set up and the design has a lot of "Makes women horny" points and benefits from an ease of production standpoint.
The dogs, various psychic/ghost rapists, and horses are still broadly more popular and Charizard and the RapePig from Gen5 probably still edge it out but the margin is way slimmer in that specific category than it is elsewhere when it comes to the Fire Starters and it's competitive with Infernape and Edgy Bara Garfield, which is something you don't expect to say about Typhlosion basically ever.
Blaziken would probably beat it too but most of it is female Blazikens being raped or wifed.
