We are living in a very volatile point in Amercian culture right now. Zoomers were in their adolescence in the heat of #MeToo, and it instilled into them this expectation to see the downfall of low-worth celebrities and public figures or even fucking pokemon whom have no actual effect on your personal life. There's fucking millions of them nowadays, what's one more useless streamer under the axe. One sect of zoomers have been stunted to develop any voice of reason or common sense, giving way to today's hysteria of victimhood and pointing fingers at the mundane. Another much larger sect of zoomers have widely adopted post-irony humor, giving way to an arms race of memes. These pile on much worse connotations to be viewed by the normies seeing the coattails of these daily controversies. All of it is clout-chasing and attempts to gain relevance, as the algorithm enables and amplifies the voices of the unstable and disingenuous. This is the reality we now have to live in. I fear for the day when these kids have to endure any real deep shit irl.
