Pseudo-legendary is a fanmade term anyway and the conditions to be one are very specific, at least in the west. in Japan, all you need to be considered a pseudo-legendary is to have a 600 BST and not be a legendary, mythical or mega.

Archaludon only fulfills one of these criteria

I know this might sound weird but while Charizard was always super cool and a favorite, it wasn't actively pushed by the company as much as it would be from like Kalos onward in the mid-2000s when they were building all this lore.
