It's amazing how much XY was completely ROBBED of everything. We lost alot of cool pokemon designs, southern portion of the region, soar and dive mechanics, custom gyms, ditto village, etc. It could've seriously been a good game if they took their time with it.

I'm 33 and have been playing since gen 1 and for whatever reason XY was the most fun I've ever had with the franchise, and I thought the models looked like shit compared to the sprites from BW (lol) initially. I think the good online really helped, interest in battling was much higher (this place had actual threads for it). Also the time showdown really got bigger.

Sucks so much was cut, the games are dear to my heart.

In terms of development? Probably. Trying to design a bunch of minigame side modes like Rhyhorn Race and Custom Gyms and 3D Flight on top of everything else is probably why XY is so light on end content. At some point you have to decide what can stay, what can be pushed back.

The only Pokemon games with that much content are the either 3rd Versions or DLC, because they get more time to work on the same game.

BW2 would have been more fun if it had difficulty modes that actually worked, a proper Battle Frontier instead of just a nostalgia pandering version of the Battle Dome, berry farming actually put into the game, secret bases, contests, trainer customization, fewer retarded roadblocks, etc

It's like they're programmed to not only hate Unova with every fiber of their being, but to also mention it everywhere they go and to scapegoat towards it every time Kalos ever gets even the slightest pushback by default. Thing is, nobody ever said this. When Unova fans defend their games, whether you agree with them or not, they usually bring up it's own merits. Meanwhile, I've never seen a Kalos fan ever defend their games without almost immediately deflecting to another region and changing the conversation. It's entirely one-sided.

How many unique things do you expect in a series with this amount of games? The designs are still good, the berry farming is still good, there's some cool routes and locations. They're fun games and everyone likes them, just accept that you're in the minority on this one.

Yes, they did. Most of them at least.

At most they removed 1 landmark that might perfectly have been deemed redundant or embedded inside a city.

They did remove 1 city and 2 towns though, but then again, perhaps anything relevant they could have had may have been moved to northern Kalos.

I still think they robbed us but less than it appears at first sight.
