I just assumed the scale world project was just for every pokemon and selected bunch of the usual shill picks like Unova, protags, and champions. I didn't expect that they might actually do every gym leader, e4, rival,etc, down the line.
Seeing less popular Kanto characters like Blaine, Koga, or Lt.Surge get figurines didn't tip me off that they might do every trainer because I assumed they only got it because it was Kantoooooooo, so of course it's cast of characters was going to get special treatment compared to other regions who would likely only be designated to a few of their shills. This seems to be good news for those who like really unpopular characters like Chuck, Wattson, Ramos, and Kofu
So now it feels weird owing to Jasmine figures that are the same design, though to be fair, the fan-made one pulls from Masters and her in game sprite where her dress is green, while the Bandai pulls from her HGSS art and everything else.
Scale World is kind of weird, because sometimes they do put a little bit extra effort for certain mons, Gholdengo actually seems to have an illusion of a metallic sheen in its figure while other steel types don't get that
