>>56707035You are right about the anime, but the idea that Yamamoto sounds like he received orders from someone else isn't just my guess, it's what the Japanese themselves interpret, as far as I could find. They aren't sure either though ("ローズの悪堕ち絶対NGの指示があるくらいだから", "公式から駄目だよって言われたのかな", "ゲーム開発側からの指示だと思ってるんだけど" etc).
As for Masters, trusting Giovanni is reckless, sure, but he is willing to listen to the side who opposes his ideas and accepts that he was wrong pretty easily. And ever since his "villain" arc, he's kept showing up plenty of times for some reason, recently in Clavell's event for example, always as a good guy (not that Masters has many villains, but still, I'm surprised by how often he is used in story events).
