>>56704715I feel like a lot of the animals that would be endemic to the Galapagos already have a Pokémon equivalent, so I'd expect to see Cramorant, Palafin, Salandit, Flamigo, Dewgong, Kilowattrel, Torkoal, Maractus, etc. I also think that getting more regional forms that would include some slightly tweaked Alolans makes a lot of sense. Some ideas for new Pokémon tho:
>Another cactus Pokemon, pure Grass or maybe a fun dual type like Grass/Steel. Make it a regional or even an evolution of Maractus, who feels more appropriate in an island region than Cacturne honestly>A tortoise or finch Pokémon with different forms>Dark/Flying or Poison/Flying vampire finch, maybe as one of the possible forms for above. Alternatively just do a vampire fly/mosquito finally and make it Poison/Bug or even Dark/Bug or Ghost/Bug>Hammerhead shark, finally. Water/Steel? You could give it a scalloped hammerhead prevo and a whale shark evo too>A mockingbird as the early route bird. Such an obvious idea and they still haven't done it in 9 generations >A Fire/Flying lava gull that's literally a lava gull, rather than just a pseudonym for a basic ass bird>A batfish. Maybe one of those fish that's not a Water type, so make it something weird like how they approached Stunfisk and Tynamo>A ghost crab, which looks goofy as hell>A regional for Eldegoss or Whimsicott based on Galapagos cotton>Galapagos penguin. Make it Water/Fire just to be interesting>Snail of some kind. Apparently the islands have a pretty common species>Sperm whale. Make a giant squid for it to hunt too. >Sunfish. Weird we still don't have one of these. >Scalesia daisies, which are basically large flower trees. Could be a cool way to approach a Sunflora evolution or just do a funky regional Grass type. >Komodo dragon, even if it's not the right island chain>Starters feel like they should be a Grass mouse, Fire bat, and Water iguana. Not sure why, they just do.
