Do you remember for what and what year? Masuda at least retired from Gamefreak, but Ohmori afaik did not appear on any directs relating to SV, even though they were under his direction.

I believe he wrote the end credits to the SWSH era of the anime. That's probably why he was on telly again. Nothing to do with the games themselves.
But yes I noticed what OP is saying years ago. Ohmori said literally nothing about SV other than saying it was announced and then eventually released on twitter.

They seemed really awkward when Nintendo forced them to do that curry cooking video with the hosts that were speaking English. It was like watching an evil villain not be evil because their mom was around. They need to keep their positions so I can shitpost and complain about them. What if they were replaced with people completely competent with no flaws? Haven't cartoons had episodes where the villain turns good so the good guys band together to make them evil again so they have something to do? They're not starting wars, they're just the scapegoats for Pokemon games rushed out by higher up demands and are paid a gorillian dollars to maintain their meatshield job titles. Fuck you Ohmori for saying to ignore Iono's voice acting in promotional material because you want the characters to be voiceless in game so players make voices in their head. Don't stop directing Pokemon games.

Miyamoto didn't kill F-Zero. The series just had mediocre at best sales despite how heavily Nintendo tried pushing it during the GameCube era. Miyamoto saying it's because the series went as far as it could go was just businessman talk for "it sold like shit and isn't worth the cost of development".

They will never admit it, but the backlash to SWSH definitely changed how things operate internally. They never want anything they say to cause a huge flame war like that time Ohmori said they have to redo every model from scratch even though they were identical

honestly the remaining leaks I'm most looking forward to are internal GF documents/emails pertaining to SwSh where they discuss Dexit and/or their reactions and opinions about the debacle. it'd be some fascinating shit if we get to see what they truly felt like in private about all that shit
