No not really. Using different pokemon is good. In fact I try not to reuse pokemon from game to game if I can.

Yes. They broke the social contract. The unspoken rule was "If you jump through this hoop for this exclusive Pokrmon you get to use it every future game" they got rid of the reciprocity but kept the hoops. You still need to buy the DLC to get shiny Meloetta for example.

Not being able to use my favorites actively makes me less willing to play. S/V is my least favorite Switch game but I have more playtime on it just because my favorites aren't dexit'd in that game.

with that being said, as long as Charizard, Eevee, Pikachu and Lucario are in the game the average consumer won't complain, so it's not that much of a deal for the future of the franchise

There was a bunch of random camp animations yeah. But in terms of model modification SS didn't actually do much.
Especially in terms of relevant modifications. You were lucky if they even noticed a model having like ten polygons in a whisker and fixed it.

It killed the series for me. I haven't bought or played a new pokemon game since USUM.
I didn't transfer all of my pokemon from Leaf Green and Sapphire forwards just to have them taken and held randsom in PokeJail.
They'll continue to sit in the PC boxes of Alola.
I'll buy a game once the national dex is reimplemented. Or, in other words, I will never buy a new pokemon game again.

The first dexit if memory serves got rid of known favourites like metagross, garchamp, zoroark all the johto and hoenn starters and a good chunk of fossil pokemon so yeah kind of.
